Tilikum Chamber Orchestra’s 2024-25 Season

Saturday, May 10, 2025:  “The French Connection”

“The French Connection” program, under the direction of guest conductor, Don Appert, includes delightful works by 19th century French composers: the well-known Saint-Saëns and the lesser known Magnard. Although not from France, Beethoven’s French connection is that he was a great admirer of Napoleon. The three compositions on the concert also were written by each of the composers while in their 20s.

  • Albéric Magnard: Suite in Ancient Style, Op. 2
  • Camille Saint-Saëns: Symphony No. 2 in A minor, Op. 55

Saturday, March 15, 2025:   “Songs of Youth”
with Jonathan DeBruyn, Guest Conductor

“Songs of Youth” exhibits delightful works of three well-known composers from their student and fledgling composition years. Under the direction of guest conductor, Jonathan DeBruyn, the Tilikum Chamber Orchestra will feature works of Giacomo Puccini, William Grant Still, and Franz Schubert in a concert that showcases the burgeoning styles of these monumental composers.
