The Tilikum Chamber Orchestra is always open to new players. Currently we are accepting new members in all string sections, and are particularly in need of experienced performers on Double Bass, Violin, and Trumpet. Other wind and percussion instrument performers are needed at times, subject to the availability of our current players. We maintain a “sub list” of qualified substitutes.
The TCO does not hold formal auditions. New members are welcome to sit in at a rehearsal to get to know the group, per approval of the section leader and/or conductor. Alternatively, new members can meet with the conductor to play a private audition or submit performance videos, if that is preferred. Section membership selection for each concert is done collaboratively between the individual section leaders and the conductor.
How to Join
Contact info@tilikumchamberorchestra.com and indicate your instrument, prior orchestral experience, and which date you are interested in coming and visiting a rehearsal. Alternatively, if you already know some members of the orchestra, you may contact them about being placed in a section for a concert, or arranging a rehearsal visit.
